I did it again…

Why do I do this to myself? I figured that after this weekend, I’d buckle down, get myself back on track with Weight Watchers, and maybe at least undo the damage I did on Saturday. Oh no. We get home this evening, and I decide that we need pizza. Nevermind that we have 2 Newman’s Own pizzas in the freezer right now (I figured I’d give them a shot, since at $6/each, they’ve got to be better than your average frozen pizza. Plus, any time I bring home some form of Newman’s Own product, it gives Jay the opportunity to quote the random organic farmer in The Simpsons whose crop is ruined: “Aw, Paul Newman’s gonna have my legs broke!”). No, I decided I needed Pizza the Hut, so that’s what we got. And once again, I feel sick to my stomach from all the grease and the salt.

I think my downfall was the result of not eating quite enough throughout today. I had oatmeal for breakfast, although I didn’t pull my usual KERF, and add in a bunch of stuff…This morning, I just had milk (I went ahead and used whole milk, just because I did work out this morning, and I have an almost-empty gallon that’s due to expire tomorrow), raspberries tossed with some brown sugar, a dash of cinnamon, a dash of nutmeg, and a dash of vanilla. I do think I like the raspberries better than strawberries, although I think tomorrow, I’ll skip the raspberries and add in a tablespoon of peanut butter.

For lunch, I took a can of Muir Glen Tomato Basil soup (it’s not listed on their website, so either it’s too new, or it’s being discontinued, which I hope is not the case, as I really liked this stuff!), and some Dr. Kracker Sunflower Cheddar crackers. I am in love with these:

I gave the bambino the choice between the Pumpkin Cheddar and the Sunflower Cheddar, and he picked these. I think he was swayed once I said the word “sunflower” since that’s one of many things we’re attempting to grow this year. Either way, they’re delicious, and I’m glad he chose them.

I had to pop out to the store again this evening to pick up a couple things, and I went in search of my Chobani again…They still haven’t restocked, so I guess I’ll have to keep checking back! I did mention it on the survey I took about my shopping experience, so maybe they’ll either order more than normal, or they’ll special-order it in for me.

Sharing is caring!

  1. I hear a Britney Spears song in there, somewhere… er, maybe not.
You’re definately trucking along, though! I’m so glad that you just keep on going, as it’s truly is comforting to know that even if there’s this kind of an “oops,” it’s not the end of the world.

I have been trying to walk more… it is just exhausting, some days. I am so out of shape, I have to get IN shape to get in shape. All of this, in under 3 years… yikes! Two jobs & a natural lazy streak has definitely taken its toll…

    • Yeah…There’s a Britney Spears song in there (good call! :)) And you’re right…It’s not the end of the world…Just a small bump in the road! I have a lazy streak as well…I know exactly what I need to be doing, I’m just not doing it! Not like I should, anyway. I’ve gotta keep at it, though…Or stop liking food so dang much!
