“And now for something completely different…”

Very rarely do I do more than one post a day…I admire those who have the time to post about every single meal (they obviously don’t have kids, and I think are probably a little on the compulsive side). I’m lucky if I can post 3 days in a row during the week! My post from this morning was actually begun last night–Once we were done eating & I finally sat down to relax, I sort of crashed. That, and for about 30-45 minutes, the bambino & I were playing while Jay was trying to watch more Python. Since this is the last nice day we’re supposed to have for awhile, I thought I would take advantage of it, and walk somewhere other than Pizza Hut for lunch (that, and due to my putzing around far more than I should’ve, I didn’t have time to actually pack).

Enter Cottonwood Coffee.

One of the reasons we bought the laptop (besides me being able to join Jay & the bambino in the living room in the evenings, instead of sitting off in the dining room trying to blog), was also for when we travel. Today, I decided to take advantage of Cottonwood’s wi-fi. Plus, they’re a healthier alternative to the Hut, and I eat so much junk so much more often than I need to.

They have a large selection of paninis and other sandwiches. I opted for the Gourmet Grilled Cheese.

Which is served with one of my weaknesses:

Ahh, potato chips. Whatever would I do without you? Drop about 10 lbs., probably. Oh well. As long as I don’t buy them, I won’t have a reason to eat them.

And while I know I shouldn’t be eating out, I figured this is the sort of thing that would be allowed–Once in a great while. I’m thinking I might have to tweak the budget as it were. We’re only about halfway to where I thought we should be by this point in February. Part of it is going over a couple times on the groceries. We also got George’s one night. Still, it’s a work in progress, and while I’d like us to have more, at least we have something saved up. It’s better than nothing, and it’s better than we’ve been in a long while.

And on that note, I’d best bus my table, pack up my gear, and head back to work, before my boss puts out an APB on me!

Sharing is caring!

    • Pizza The Hut is right across the street from the bank, so I’m forever popping in there, which is probably why my face looks so freakin’ round these days. And I almost never think to bring my laptop to work with me, since we don’t have wi-fi there (we have computers for personal use in our breakroom). It was a fun change of pace!
