“I’m free, to do what I want, any old time…”

Ahhh….Freedom. As of 2 o’clock this afternoon, I have no obligations, other than picking Jay up at 4 o’clock tomorrow, Thursday and Friday. And that assumes that I get back from the dealership by 4 on Thursday! I decided this morning that I was going to get a pedicure at some point this week, so I called for an appointment. They happened to have an opening at 5:15, so I took it. The salon I go to, Sunflower, is an Aveda salon, and I spent a very blissful and relaxing hour there this evening, and came away with pretty feet:

I decided that because I got out of there later than I was anticipating, I’d swing through Nick’s for some burgers.

My original intent was to fix pita pizzas, but I was going to make homemade pizza sauce, and I didn’t do it during my 2-hour window before I picked up Jay and the bambino (I slacked off for a little while). I’ll probably make it tomorrow, that way we can have the pizzas on Thursday–In case I run late in Sioux Falls.

I had a bit of an epiphany Friday night. I had a bout of complete emotional eating, so I went and got McDonald’s. I don’t know what it is about Mickey Dee’s, but sometimes only the Clown can soothe my soul. So I got a couple of burgers, a large fry, and a chocolate shake. I got about halfway through my first burger before realizing that it tasted like crap. I tried finishing it, because I paid for it and didn’t want to waste it, but I couldn’t. When we’ve been eating out, it’s been to places like George’s or Guadalajara’s, and ever since Jay kind of mocked me for buying Culver’s for lunch one day, I’ve been trying to stay away from fast food. And apparently I’ve stayed away long enough, that it just doesn’t taste good anymore. Which is probably a good thing.

After we ate, I got out some treats that I picked up this afternoon (I went and got coffee before picking up Jay and the bambino):

Chocolate-covered pretzels!

Choco Latte
is dangerous. Between the coffee and the candies…I could spend a lot of time and money there! And I’m debating on whether I want to spend part of Friday morning blogging and such there. I should probably stay home, though. I have a few things I want to bake, and I’ll probably go grocery shopping at some point. In the mean time, I’m going to kick back, relax, and rest up for tomorrow. I’m meeting Jessica and her children at the Children’s Museum for lunch and playtime–Her daughter and the bambino were good friends while they were at daycare together, and it’s been a long time since they’ve seen each other. It should be fun!
