“She’s got big balls…”

Cake balls, that is, but more on those in a bit. I’ve been lax in getting the house ready for the Norwex party. It took me a few days to come up with stuff to serve, but I finally settled on:

I’ll have enough to do slicing cheese and fruit (apples & pears), and wrapping the wieners in bacon (yes, I know. I’m giggling too, because my sense of humor is still 12-years-old!). Monday night I made some Pumpkin Chocolate Whoopie Pies:

They turned out pretty well. And I managed NOT to bring home any leftovers, which is good.

I’m going to have enough leftovers after the party tomorrow night! We popped out to the store to buy the necessities for said party, and I picked myself up some sesame chicken:

I’d had to eat lunch early yesterday and by the time we got home, I was starving. I inhaled that meal. Once I was finished, Jay and the bambino surprised me with my birthday presents:

From the bambino. I am SO excited to start making recipes out of here! Hopefully over the weekend, I can sit down and actually read through it (I read cookbooks like regular novels). Jay got me this:

Because I love all things Indiana Jones, and for awhile, seriously thought about going to school for archaeology.

After work this evening we had to pop back to the store. I needed lollipop sticks, a block of styrofoam, and some beverages of the non-alcoholic variety.

I’ll make some tea tomorrow, and a pot of coffee right before the guests arrive! I got started on the cake ball/pops. I have a feeling that these are going to be like the arancini I made last year…And that I think I’ll probably never make these again!

That’s after adding in the frosting.

And once they were in ball form. They’re in the fridge chilling for the time being. I’m debating on leaving them overnight and just finishing them tomorrow after I get home from work. And in fact, that’s exactly what I’m going to do. Just 4 1/2 hours until my 3-day weekend begins!

Sharing is caring!
