I was going to try baking cupcakes last night…I’ve been promising spice cakes with cream cheese frosting. Between the flat tire, and That-Which-Shall-Not-Be-Named, there’s just been too much going on this week. And I found out last night that we’re having company Saturday afternoon/early evening, which is fine, except for the fact that my house is a pit (I’ve put off seriously cleaning it for far longer than I should’ve), and I have to work Saturday morning. It’s not a huge deal–Like I told Jay, it’s the kick in arse I need to actually get the cleaning DONE. And as long as I don’t weasel out of it tonight and tomorrow night, I think we’ll be fine in getting things done. Even the bambino is willing to help out.
In the meantime, I have good friends who are willing to listen to me rant and vent, and get it out of my system. And if I wasn’t in the throes of this string of BS bad luck, I would find it laughable in a stupid sitcom kind of way. And maybe that’s what I should do–When the next incident happens (because I’m sure it will), I should just start laughing. And who can be in a bad mood looking at and listening to Mike Ness and the rest of Social D?

Chile Colorado Burritos. I first had Chile Colorado at Guadalajara not too long ago, and absolutely LOVED it. Jay got it in burrito form, but I preferred it with the vinegar slaw and corn tortillas, which is how I first had it. Still, when I came across this recipe on Pinterest, I had to try it.
