This post is brought to you by Gimmee Jimmy’s Cookies.
I was asked about a month ago if I’d be interested in reviewing some cookies, from Gimmee Jimmy’s Cookies.
I’d never heard of them before, but I can’t turn down the opportunity to try some cookies, so I poked around online, and discovered there was a rather interesting story behind the company. It was founded by Jimmy Libman, who was deaf from birth. He opened Gimmee Jimmy’s Cookies in 1983, though the company is exclusively online these days. They have a variety of cookies and pastries available online. I received a 2-lb. assorted cookie tin to sample and review.
Underneath that, were Rainbow Cookies, and a sort of Chocolate Marble Cookie:
The Chocolate Marble Cookies didn’t last long, as they were my favorite. In fact, there were originally 5 cookies, but I had to sample one before I took the photo!
Not pictured are the M&M and Chocolate Chip Cookies that were underneath that layer (though if you look carefully, you can sort of see them through the waxed paper). And underneath that layer was a layer of White Chocolate Chip Cookies.
The Chocolate Rugelach were also a favorite, and didn’t last long at all. In fact, none of the cookies lasted long! The bambino scarfed up most of the Rainbow cookies, Jay polished off the Cinnamon Rugelach, and we all snacked on the M&M and Chocolate Chip Cookies! I think the least popular choice was the White Chocolate, but only because none of us is a huge fan of white chocolate.
If you decide to order from Gimmee Jimmy’s, they offer free shipping. According to the shipping label, my cookies should’ve been delivered a day earlier than I received them, but I blame the USPS for that, not Gimmee Jimmy’s. I mention it just so you’re aware. The rugelach weren’t dried out at all, so that’s a plus.
All in all, I’d recommend Gimmee Jimmy’s Cookies, the next time you need to send a gift, or just want a tin of delicious treats all for yourself!
