Oven 375°F
Ingredients:
1 C (2 sticks) butter or margarine
1 1/2 C sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 oz. unsweetened chocolate, melted & cooled
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 C A-P flour
1 1/2 C quick-cooking rolled oats
1 6-oz. package (1 C) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
1. In a large mixing bowl beat butter with an electric mixer on medium-high speed for 30 seconds. Add sugar, baking powder & baking soda. Beat till combined, scraping sides of bowl occasionally. Beat in melted chocolate, egg & vanilla till combined. Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer. Stir in remaining flour, oats & chocolate chips.
2. Drop by slightly rounded teaspoons about 3 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are firm. Transfer cookies to a wire rack & let cool. Makes 48-52 cookies.
