A Semi-Silent Sunday

I spent the vast majority of today in the kitchen…The only thing I didn’t cook today was breakfast. I decided we’d eat at the Hy-Vee Kitchen, since I needed bread flour. Here’s what I did today:

Damper Bread:

(And I realized as I was uploading the recipe, I completely screwed it up the first time I made it. I didn’t use enough baking powder, and completely left out the salt. Hello, hockey puck. Meet the garbage can! Take two turned out MUCH better, as you can see.)

Biscoff Blondies:

Slow-Cooker Sirloin with Mashed Potatoes:

(Which fell apart when I went to take it out to make the gravy…Next time I’ll either add more sirloin, or cook it for only three hours instead of four)
