I love snacks. Salty snacks. Give me potato chips, tortilla chips, crackers over something sweet any day. Recently I had a chance to review some Food Should Taste Good Chips, a brand I’m already familiar with and like.
(That would be the Original Sweet Potato flavor which we’ve had before)
Right away, the bambino dug into the Olive chips–He loves black olives, and so loved these chips. I tried one, but I’m not a fan of olives, so they weren’t my favorite. I dug into the Kettle Corn, which were just the right balance of sweet and salty. And since they’re tortilla chips and made from few ingredients, I felt a lot better about eating half the bag right off the bat! And if you’re wondering why the bag is marked with an “R,” it’s because after trying the Olive chips, the bambino wrote his name on the bag, so that Jay wouldn’t get into them. I, in turn, marked the Kettle Corn, so I wouldn’t have to share (it didn’t work, though).
Jay munched on the Sweet Potato chips–He’s a big fan of sweet potatoes in general, so he really liked them. Myself, not so much, because like with olives, I’m not a fan of sweet potatoes.
The Blue Corn, we saved for a Tuesday evening, when we had Buffalo Chicken Dip.
For some reason, Tuesday nights seem to be my Achilles Heel when it comes to eating out. I’ve taken to making that sort of a junk food/eating-out-at-home kind of night, so that I’m less tempted to make a trip out for wings or burgers. And I usually serve Buffalo Chicken Dip with tortilla chips anyway, so the Blue Corn was perfect.
There are TONS of flavors of Food Should Taste Good Tortilla Chips, and if you’re not a weirdo like me, you’ll probably like the variety of Kettle Cooked Sweet Potato Chips. According to their website, Brown Rice Crackers are in the works, and Pita Puffs just recently debuted (and they actually have all 4 varieties in my local grocery store…Although I haven’t tried them yet).
Have you tried Food Should Taste Good Chips before? Would you like to? The folks at FSTG are providing one of my readers with a free bag of chips to try out!
