Growing Pains (and a Giveaway!) – CLOSED

I don’t know why I find it amusing that my blogiversary is the first day of the New Year…But for whatever reason, it cracks me up. 2012 was especially full of growth and blog milestones for me…Finally breaking through the many many rejections from FoodGawker and Tastespotting, being published in a cookbook, getting interviewed by the local paper, and getting to review a few cool products.

Last year I funded a small giveaway on my own, just as a “thanks” to my readers. I like to be able to give back, and while I don’t have the pull or budget to give away things like stand mixers a la The Pioneer Woman, I do what I can. And I’m excited that I am able to do a bigger giveaway this year, courtesy of the awesome people at King Arthur Flour!

I’m giving away a copy of the King Arthur Flour’s Baking Companion 10th Anniversary Edition (softcover), and a coupon for a free bag of flour (so you can bake something from your new cookbook)!

KA Cookbook

I love King Arthur Flour–I get my most consistent baking results when I use their flours. My friend Melissa very kindly gave me her copy of their Whole Grain Baking Cookbook, and I’ve found it a very valuable resource for incorporating more whole grains into my baking. If you’ve never been to their website, check it out. They have SO many tips, resources, and of course, recipes for all sorts of delicious goodies (I love reading through their baking blog for ideas and inspiration).

To enter: Usually, I don’t make you jump through too many hoops whenever I host giveaways, just because I don’t like to jump through too many hoops myself when I enter giveaways. This time, though, I’m gonna make you work for it. All I ask is that you visit the King Arthur Flour website, and leave a comment with a recipe you’d like to make. One of my personal favorites is their Tasting-is-Believing-Whole-Grain Brownies. I’ve made them and taken them into work, and people can’t tell that they’re made with whole wheat flour. But you choose a recipe that strikes you, and leave me a comment. As always, if you want to like my Facebook page or follow me on Twitter, I am happy if you do so, but it’s totally and completely optional. I will run this giveaway until Monday, January 7, 2013 at 6:00 PM CST. This giveaway is open to U.S. residents only. The winner will be chosen using, and will have 48 hours to respond, otherwise a new winner will be chosen.

DISCLAIMER: This giveaway is sponsored by King Arthur Flour, but all opinions are my own. I have not been provided any compensation for this post–I think they make a quality product, and am thrilled they’re willing to partner with me for this opportunity.
