“And I’m feeling lemon yellow…”

I’m in a ridiculously good mood today, and I really don’t know why. The weekend’s almost here–That might have something to do with it. This seems like it’s been the longest week ever, and I’m not the only one who thinks so. Plus, I bought these last night for my desk at work:

So far no one else has noticed them, but they’re cracking me up every time I look at them.

Last night I made up a batch of Rhubarb Crumb Muffins for a coworker.

She and her family LOVE rhubarb, and she offered to pay me if I would make some just for her family. I never mind baking stuff for people, but that leads me to a question I want to ask any fellow food bloggers who might be asked to do baking jobs on the side (or who actually read this here blog): Do you have a pricing guide or anything like that you offer people when they ask you to bake for them? I have a hard time asking for money to begin with, and I have yet to develop a price list or anything like that, but this makes the 3rd time I’ve be offered a “job.” Actually, the 4th, but due to tax season, I had to turn one down. Still, I’m beginning to wonder if it’s something I should work on. Any thoughts?

This evening, I left Jay and the bambino at home, while I met up with a bunch of old friends. We all worked on the teller line together at the bank, and it’s been a long time since we’ve all had a chance to visit and reminisce. Plus, it was Two-for-One night:

Vodka and cranberry juice. I did limit myself to two, just because alcoholic beverages are a bit high on the WW points. Of course, that kind of went out the window once I decided to order this:

That extremely blurry photo is a French dip sandwich and fries. It was decent, although I ran out of au jus after the first half of my sandwich. And frankly, our waitress was kind of crappy. I asked for water with my first round of drinks, as well as after I finished my dinner, and both times, I had to ask twice before I got it. And after Marcey arrived, we actually had to flag the girl down, so Marcey could order food! Oh well. It could’ve been worse.

I made it home in time to tuck the bambino in, and now, I think I’ll work on this weekend’s grocery list!
